Another major attraction of Bradford is The Alhambra Theatre that has turned 100 years old in 2014. The theatre looks beautiful and it was once the favorite destination for the likes of Laurel and Hardy. The Theatre today hosts famous shows like The Lion King and The War Horse.

 

The National Media Museum is located here and it is a part of The National Science Museum in UK. It has large galleries that are dedicated to video gaming, animation, television, photography and movies. It also houses the first ever IMAX screen in UK. In 2009 Bradford received the title as The World’s First UNESCO City of Film. This was primarily because of its big screen heritage.

 

When it comes to food Bradford is known as the Curry Capital of the UK. It has been synonymous with good curry for three years in a row now. Besides food and a host of famous places Bradford is also known for its grand Victorian structures and mill chimneys. Almost half of the district is open space and known for its greenery.
