Located in the West Yorkshire, England, University of Leeds is a public research university established in 1874. After merging with Leeds School of Medicine in 1884, it was renamed as Yorkshire College. University of Leeds has been ranked between 10th to 14th, nationwide for 2017-18. It has been ranked 31st best in Europe and 93rd in world for 2019. University of Leeds is also an active member of Russell Group Universities. The University of Leeds has been ranked in the top 5 universities in UK for the applications it received. With the graduate employability it has, University of Leeds was ranked in the Top three in UK and in Top 20 in the world. University of Leeds was ranked 5th for being the most targeted British University by the graduate employers in 2016-17.

 

Campus and Campus Life

The University of Leeds is spread across 1230 acres, out of which the main campus comprises of 98acres of land. With 36,250 students, University of Leeds is ranked 5th largest university in UK. The Tower of the Parkinson Building is a well known landmark in the city of Leeds, which is also used as a logo for the University of Leeds. One of the most prominent buildings in the campus along with the Parkinson Building is the Great Hall. It is now primarily used for the exams, meetings and graduation ceremonies. The University Library is spread across 5 locations. The campus has around 9000 personal computers along with 150 Sun computers and servers. University of Leeds has sport teams which regularly performs in BCUS and was also ranked 14th in the country as of 2016.
